There is one sub-directory for each instance and if you just performed a basic install there will just be one directory, probably called ‘ssi’ /user_projects/domains/bi/bidata/service_instances Where the metadata for each installed BI instance is stored. Now we have command line utility to start and stop OBIEE services. There is no more start and stop links which used to appear in the Start Menu. The OBIEE 11g have different path for these files and executable. The location of files and executable have been changed in OBIEE 12c.
